Snowy Branches in Sunlight #1
I had some rare photos of my garden from a couple years ago when we had snow and sunshine in the Seattle area. I've zoomed in and painted just tiny sections of the branches. It proved to be quite a challenge to keep the color simple and the shapes looking crunchy enough to be snow rather than soft-edged spring blossoms. I love the cheerful contrast of the blue and white.
This original painting is on display and available for purchase at Matthew Robert Salon in Edmonds, Washington Sept. 15 - Nov. 24, 2019.
